Annie Moore from Co.Cork, accompanied by her two younger siblings, Philip and Anthony, emigrated from their homeland in December 1891 to begin a new life in America. Annie made history by becoming the 1st immigrant to be processed through the newly opened Ellis Island Processing Centre on New Years Day 1892, her 15th birthday.
First recorded by The Barleycorn in the early 80's on their album "Fields of Athenry".
